“Weimaraners are known to be among the most challenging breeds to own. Vivi’s mother has a very calm personality, so I bred her. Viviana is proof that breeding doesn’t always work:). She was stunning, regal, had piercing eyes, an athletic build, high energy and was very intelligent and affectionate. She was also mischievous, independent and stubborn. Vivi excelled in obedience class and at alerting me to anyone at the door. She loved people, cuddling, walks, car rides, running and chasing geckos and squirrels. Vivi loved her mother and was fiercely loyal and attached to me. I loved her with all my heart and will miss her terribly. She was my shadow, protector and best friend. Donating Viviana for research allows me to find some positivity in a sad event.” Love, Denise (Viviana’s human momma)

We at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine are deeply grateful for the generosity of Viviana’s family and for allowing her legacy to live on through her remarkable contributions to science and education. Her gift will help advance research, inspire learning, and make a lasting difference in the lives of both animals and people. May she rest in peace.
