Please join us in congratulating Zeidi Jimenez, mentored by Dr. Maxwell, on the successful presentation of her FVSP student project!
Zeidi’s research project, titled “Evaluating Noise-Dampening Headphones (Pawnix®) to Reduce Anxiety in Hospitalized Dogs in a Busy Patient Care Ward,” explored whether noise-dampening headphones could help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS) in hospitalized dogs in the Patient Care Ward (PCW).
Improving the hospital experience for veterinary patients is an important part of Zeidi’s passion for animal welfare. Through this project, she explored a practical and innovative approach to potentially creating a calmer, less stressful environment for hospitalized dogs.
Looking toward the future, Zeidi hopes to become a board-certified veterinary radiologist. Her fascination with diagnostic imaging and the challenge of solving complex clinical cases has inspired her career goals. She hopes to combine patient care, teaching, and research to advance veterinary medicine while mentoring and supporting future generations of veterinarians.
