Congratulations to Dr. Raiane Moura on completing an incredible chapter with the Pain Innovations Research Laboratory and beginning the next step in her veterinary journey.
After 3.5 years as a Research Scholar at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Moura leaves behind a legacy of dedication, collaboration, and meaningful contributions to veterinary research. Her time at UF was marked by a commitment to advancing anesthesia, pain management, and patient care through innovative research.
Before continuing her career in the United States, Dr. Moura completed her veterinary education and advanced training in Brazil, including a residency focused on veterinary anesthesia and analgesia. Her strong foundation in anesthesia, pain management, and perioperative care has guided her continued dedication to improving outcomes for veterinary patients.
During her time at the University of Florida, Dr. Moura worked in Large Animal Medicine and Veterinary Anesthesia, collaborating with Dr. Freeman on equine anesthesia and perioperative research. She also contributed to multiple small animal clinical research projects, studies, publications, and scientific presentations focused on advancing anesthesia techniques, pain management strategies, and patient care.
Dr. Moura now continues her career with the Anesthesia and Pain Management Service at Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Marietta, Georgia, where she continues to expand her expertise in veterinary anesthesia, pain management, and emergency/critical care.
Dr. Moura is currently pursuing veterinary licensure in the United States, with the goal of becoming a licensed veterinarian and continuing her career in veterinary anesthesia and emergency/critical care.
We are incredibly proud of all Dr. Moura has accomplished and grateful for the dedication, knowledge, and passion she brought to the Pain Innovations Research Laboratory. While we will miss having her as part of our team, we are excited to see the incredible things she will accomplish as she continues to pursue her dreams.
