Congratulations to Dr. Portela and Dr. Chiavaccini from the Pain Innovation and Research Laboratory (PIRL) and the Anesthesia Department at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital for being recognized as Founding Fellows in Pain Management through the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA).

This prestigious international recognition honors their outstanding contributions to advancing veterinary pain management through innovation, research, clinical excellence, and dedication to improving patient care. Their work through PIRL has helped advance the field of veterinary pain medicine and expand the impact of pain management practices worldwide.

We also proudly recognize Dr. Romano, Dr. Vettorato, and Dr. De Gennaro from the UF Veterinary Hospital Anesthesia Department, who were also named Founding Fellows in Pain Management through the ACVAA. Their expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence continue to strengthen the field of veterinary anesthesia and analgesia.
