This Veterinary Technician Week, we’re thrilled to celebrate the heart of our lab — April Hardison, CVT, our tireless research assistant and lab manager. April keeps the Pain Innovations Research Laboratory running seamlessly, ensuring that every study is executed with precision and care.
Her dedication extends far beyond organization and logistics — April’s compassionate approach to animal care sets the tone for everything we do. Whether she’s coordinating complex research protocols, mentoring students, or making sure each animal receives the best possible attention, April embodies the spirit of excellence and empathy that defines our work. April also recently gave a riveting talk at UF Veterinary Technician CE Conference on “Emotional Intelligence, Boundaries, and Boosting Morale in the Veterinary Field”.
We’re so grateful for all that she does and can’t imagine PIRL without her! 💙🐾
